Project Concept
“Digital Media Art Media Integration with Music Festival” is the core concept of the summer music festival, Zero One.
Every year, the music festival features music/media artists from one country, and this time the chosen country was Japan.
The name "Zero One" comes from the fact that the music live show took place in a VR world built from binary numbers, and that the artists who appeared in the show were not bound by existing genres but created something new, in other words, had the power to turn zero into one.
The logo made of two-colour chrome text with flare effects was chosen due to the two-colour scheme and chrome text was well-suited for the digital music festival made of binary numbers, and the flare effects were meant to represent the act of pushing the boundaries of existing art-forms.
Festival Poster
The design was composed of the top-centred logo, 3D objects that guided the reader’s eyes, the neon-pink-wired floor that got attentions to the live showcase information, the gradient-coloured city view of Tokyo, and the circle that came from the national flag of Japan.
Brochure
A brochure for the music festival was designed by the integration of the poster concept. It has the music artist list and the timeline on the live showcase, the description about the media artist that designed the digital environment of the festival.
It would be sent to the live ticket holders, and it had a QR code and serial code to join the VR live showcase, so the brochure functions as a live ticket as well, inviting viewers into virtual reality on the day of the concert.
merchandise
The theme of the project was integrated into a T-shirt.
